I've Joined the Club—I've Been SPAYED!

I am quickly approaching my 6 month birthday (August 12!) and mom decided that it was time for me to get spayed. So she took me to this neat clinic near where we live called Humane Alliance.

They have significantly helped reduced pet euthanasia in this area by specializing in low-cost spaying and neutering. They also have a training program where they mentor agencies and vets on how to do high-quality, high-volume, reduced-cost spay and neuter programs.

USAToday.com wrote an article about Humane Alliance and there's a neat video on YouTube about a similar clinic that is really interesting to watch. Hope you'll take a minute to check them out!

  1. Well, if you are anything like Jack, you'll be up and around in like 10 minutes. I hope you don't have to wear the cone thingy. Just don't think about it and it won't itch!

  2. Are you kidding? The first thing I did when I got home was go to my toy bin and get out my favorite frisbee. When no one would throw THAT, I started dropping tennis balls in everyone's laps, but they wouldn't throw those either! Something about having to be quiet for a few days or something... Thankfully I don't have to wear the "Cone of Shame". My stitches are on the inside and I am glued on the outside! I'm pretty good about leaving it alone. I just want to RUN!!! : P

  3. Sam was so unfazed by being neutered, I actually picked him up and checked to make sure he had actually been done!

  6. I hope you have a smooth recovery! Ti came running out of the vet's office after his neuter as if he had been at the park! I had to get out his old crate and put him in it just so he'd rest.
